Speed Bump Leaves Slow Drivers Alone

Mexico’s Decano Industries has developed a speed bump that only bumps fast cars.

The Decano speed bump, which costs $1500 to install, raises from the road when cars are traveling too fast and retracts when cars are traveling slowly enough. The system determines speed by measuring the amount of force produced by cars as they drive over metal plates.

Decano says that their speed bump results in both lower fuel consumption and happier drivers.
