When a man in line at a Joliet, Illinois bank texted his girlfriend, who was waiting in the car, that there was a man with a gun about to rob the place, he expected that she would get the joke.

Instead, 33-year-old Jeremy S. Donaldson’s girlfriend did what most reasonable people would do, she called the police, who responded in earnest.

According to ABC 7, after questioning, Donaldson was arrested, charged with felony disorderly conduct and booked into the county jail. There is no word on whether or not his girlfriend posted his bail, but one thinks that he would have benefited from some time to reflect upon his actions.
