Ex-mayor Confesses To Underwear Thefts

Ex-mayor Ian Stafford who resigned as Mayor of Preesall, Lancashire in the UK when he was arrested over a string of underwear thefts has admitted his crime.

The 59-year-old was caught semi-naked in a home by a hidden camera installed by the resident who thought that the frequent disappearances of her underwear were suspicious.

Stafford pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and is currently awaiting sentencing. The Sun reports that he has been warned that jail-time is a possibility.
