Man Hit With Citation For John Denver “Rock Out”

When neighbors could no longer bear the loud music coming from the home of a 42-year-old Fond du Lac, Wisconsin man, they did what most reasonable people would do. He called the police who arrived to find him “rocking out” to the easy listening stylings of John Denver.

The Kansas Star reports that it took some time to gain the attention of the man. Pounding on his apartment door elicited no response. Calling his name, which they found from his neighbor, finally got his attention.

He explained to the police that the reason why he was playing his music so loud was that he was “rocking out”.

The Denver fan was cited for loud noise, and may be fined $210, which is certainly a better punishment than that meted out to a Bulgarian man who inflicted similar misery on his neighbor.

Perhaps his neighbors should have been cited for not “rocking out”
