Edwardsville, Illinois: An Alton man found himself charged with 10 counts of possessing aggravated child pornography, after he attempted to reclaim a flash drive that he had misplaced.
Stanton D. Holliday is said to have implicated himself when he asked staff at the Lewis and Clark Community College Library if someone had turned in a flash drive that he had left at one of the computers the day before. Indeed, someone had turned in the flash drive, the trouble for Holliday was that the library staff wanted to verify ownership by checking the contents of the drive.
When a staff member examined the contents of the flash drive that Holliday had claimed was his, the objectionable material was found. Holliday is then said to have denied that the flash drive belonged to him. Police were called and Holliday was arrested, after it was determined that the children in the pictures were under the age of 13, the charges became aggravated.
Bail was set at $75,000.
