Frogs forced the closure of a key northern greek highway for two hours recently. Apparently, they numbered something akin to biblical plague proportions.
Thessaloniki traffic police chief Giorgos Thanoglou said
“millions” of the amphibians covered the tarmac today near the town of Langadas, some 19km east of Thessaloniki. There was a carpet of frogs
Several car drivers skidded off the road trying to dodge the frogs, fortunately no human injuries were reported. Not such positive news for the frogs though.
Chief Thanoglou said
the amphibians probably left a nearby lake to look for food.
Clearly, they found trouble instead.
