Brocken Spectre: a Somewhat Creepy Visual Phenomenon

If you find yourself walking in the Tatra mountains in Poland, don’t be afraid if you see a dark, ghostly presence hovering above you in the sky. The phenomenon is called Brocken spectre, and it occurs when “the shadow of the observer is cast on the clouds.”
