TV Host amused…. viewers aren’t

The chief minister of Delhi is Sheila Dikshit. An unfortunate name for someone in public office. Although she pronounces it ‘Dixit’, when it appears on the screen on TV or in a story online, a natural error occurs in its pronunciation.

Paul Henry, breakfast TV host from TVNZ, had a laugh at Sheila Dikshit’s name, resulting in several formal complaints from people who were offended.

Of course, there are other names that could make readers to look twice.

Grace Grace is an Australian politician, Chip Munk is an insurance salesman from Topeka in America and Dick Finder is a urologist in Hollywood. One person that must have had some teasing at school would have been Donald Duck

being a qualified professional, I could hv opted to settle down in NZ long back, but did not. how wise the decision was indeed. you people ae not only racist, but also have no culure. as your history confirms your barbaric invasion to NZ and the systemetic destruction of original newzealanders i.e., maories, you people need mental tratment. no wonder that the families in NZ are totally screwed up.
