Lloyd Hudson of Ilford, Essex was recently let go by Harrods, the famous London department store, where he played the role of Father Christmas in the store’s toy department. Kind of a slimy move on Harrods part, firing Hudson this close to Christmas, but I’m sure the company had it’s reasons.
Lloyd though had the last laugh, after he was able to gain access to a maintenance control room in the London store and manipulate the exterior lights to spell out a special message to his former employers. There, for all to see on the side of the building, Hudson spelled out “F–K OFF” in beautiful green lights.
Hudson had barricaded himself in the control room so the message stayed up, much to the dismay of Harrods, until security guards were able to bust down the door and apprehend the disgruntled employee following an hour-long standoff.
Was alcohol involved in some way? Alcohol was involved in a big way.
“He had drunk the best part of two bottles of whiskey,” said a spokesperson for the iconic London store, “and it’s that kind of behaviour that got him the sack in the first place.”
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
