Serbian man hailed as a drunken hero after accidentally killing murderous shark

A shark that had been terrorizing the famous Egyptian resort of Sarm El Sheikh has been killed, albeit inadvertently, by a drunk Serbian man who’s now being hailed as a hero.  The shark had injured four people and killed one unfortunate tourist during his reign of terror.

Dragan Stevic was so stinking drunk that he had zero recollection of killing the shark.  Thankfully his friends that he had spent the night drinking with were able to tell the tale of Dragan’s incredible shark-killing incident.

After their night of debauchery, Stevic and his friends headed for the beach because the Serbian wanted to go for a late night swim.  What happened next is unreal.

“Dragan climbed on the jumping board, told me to hold his beer and simply ran to jump. There was no time for me to react or to try to stop him, he just went for it” says friend Milovan Ubirapa

“Dragan jumped high and plunged down to the sea, but didn’t make as much splash as we thought he would”, explained Milovan.

And why didn’t Dragan make the expected big splash?  More than likely because he landed right on the shark’s head, killing it instantly.  A one-in-a-million shot for sure, especially for a drunk Serbian gentleman.  Egyptian police found the shark’s lifeless body washed up on the beach the next morning.

Alas it wasn’t all great for Dragan—he was unable to bask in the glow of his new found fame, as he is recovering in hospital recovering from alcohol poisoning.  Get well soon our shark-slaying Serbian friend, because once he’s finished his hospital stay, the resort has offered Dragan a free vacation for his drunken heroism.
