Man saved by bulletproof teeth

A New Orleans man who was accidentally shot in the mouth survived when the bullet ricocheted off one of his gold teeth.

The accidental shooting occurred following a weed-related dispute between the victim and his brother. The victim was smoking his brother’s weed, so the brother, one Waltdell Davis, pulled a small caliber pistol:

The two began to struggle, and the gun went off, hitting the victim in the mouth…He ran to a friend’s house for help, and the paramedics who treated him told investigators that the small-caliber bullet apparently bounced off the victim’s gold tooth, leaving only some gum damage from the impact and a cut to his upper lip from the ricochet…

I’m hoping that Waltdell learned a valuable lesson from all of this. Had it not been for his brother’s bulletproof gold teeth Waltdell could very well have been left without a brother and with a couple of decades to think about what a stupid move he made by taking a gun to a fistfight.
