A man suffering from kidney failure is being given the gift of life from a friend… a Facebook friend who is a complete stranger.
The 35-year old man has been on dialysis for 2-years since suffering kidney failure. After being told it would be another 3 – 5 years before he could get a kidney his wife turned to Facebook. Desperate, she posted on Facebook “I wish a kidney would fall from the sky.”
More of a vent than a real plea the wife was surprised to find a message from a complete stranger offering to donate one of his kidneys.
While he is the wife’s Facebook friend they’ve never met which really didn’t matter because he was a perfect match and good to his word.
On March 30th the transplant happened and both parties are doing well.
