President Obama turns White House into brewery

Nothing like a home brew at the end of the day

President Obama made history when he became the first African American elected into the country’s top office. Now he is making history again with his home brew.

Yes, President Obama is the first US president to make his own beer in the White House… which was aptly named White House Honey Ale.

The first batch, which was brewed using honey from bees on the White House property and equipment that he purchased himself was served at the Obamas’ Superbowl party..

Rumour is the Obama home brew endeavour started when the family found an old recipe belonging to George Washington – the first president of the United States.

White House Honey Ale isn’t the only flavour available. It also come in Hinterland Pale Ale & Amber Ale (Wisconsin), Yuengling Lager and Light (Pennsylvania). Sources claim the President has said he’ll serve his home brew at the St. Patrick’s Day party.
