Students use cell phone to save themselves from drunk school bus driver

a school bus should be an alcohol-free place

Thanks to cell phones, a school bus driver in New Jersey who was intoxicated was pulled over by police before anyone could get hurt.

Carol Crockett, 46, has been charged with 25 counts of DUI with a minor, as well as driving under the influence on school property, disorderly conduct and 25 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Students on the bus started calling their parents on their phones because the bus was swerving and Crockett was falling asleep behind the wheel.

Crockett’s blood alcohol level was .25% which is a little more than 3 times the legal limit of .08%.
