Some people will do anything to try and come across as something they are not, especially if they want people to think they are rich and well-to-do. Even absolutely ridiculous stuff like trying to pay for $476 worth of merchandise at a Lexington, N.C. Walmart with a cool, crisp $1 million dollar bill.
53-year-old Michael Fuller was arrested for doing just that with a fake $1 million dollar bill. The employees at the Lexington Walmart were able to see right through Fuller’s charade, despite his insistence that the bill was legit. Only thing wrong with his plan is that to date the U.S. Treasury has never issued a $1 million dollar bill, and the writing on the note was in crayon (OK, the second point is false, but the first one is 100% factual).
Fuller was charged with attempting to obtain property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument, as well as being stupid enough to think a Walmart would actually have change for a million. He’s currently being held on a $17, 500 bond, so don’t be surprised to read in the not-too-distant future that Michael Fuller tried paying his bail amount with a fake $20, 000 bill.
