Colorado black bear plonks out of tree

A black bear that climbed a tree at Colorado University was safely removed from the premises. Black bear being shot out of the tree

After students discovered the dopey creature, local authorities undertook efforts to take the bear away.

A mattress was put in place to cushion the fall of the bear as multiple officers fired on it with tranquilizer darts.

The bear plopped onto the ground without injury and was transported away from the university.
