The community of Moss Bluff, Louisiana has been hit by a wave of graffiti vandalism, though not of the typical variety.
Instead, the image of Carlton Banks, a fictional character from the 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has been popping up on telephone junction boxes across the town. Residents are confused, one resident saying, “I guess people are putting them on there trying to get some point across.”
Carlton, for those of you old enough to remember, was the well-to-do son of Uncle Phil and cousin of Will (played by Will Smith). This rash of vandalism is merely an instance of Internet cult humor bleeding into the real world, where those unfamiliar can be confused and irritated by non sequitur jokes crudely spray-painted on public property.
