Man Loses Daughter In Card Game

A man from West Bengal in eastern India has drawn international ire for adding his teenage daughter to the pot in a card game.

After losing all of his money, Ismail Sheikh used his 18-year-old daughter as a final bet, and lost. His daughter was dragged out of the village buy the winner.

According to family members, Sheikh is a “compulsive gambler with a drinking problem”, he is also homeless, having been thrown out of the family home as a result of his inappropriate bet.

Following an investigation, his daughter was retrieved by police.
