Queensland Fire and Rescue Pluck Man From Tree

Ever been so tired that you just want to climb a tree and sleep? No?

One poor bloke obviously did, and probably thought it was a good idea at the time.

And he must have been really tired because he climbed a tree in the middle of the river at Petrie and promptly went to sleep. The real problem came when he woke next morning.

He immediately went in to panic upon finding himself surrounded by water.

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service’s swift water rescue team were called and rescued the man without any further incident, after a passerby heard the tree climbers cry for help in the morning. Police report he was 3 metres up the tree and surrounded by shallow water.

Although no injuries were reported, the man was taken to a mental health facility.
