A 65-year-old Cairns, Queensland, man has been charged with DUI after he crashed his motorized wheelchair into an unmarked police car.
With the legal limit in Queensland at 0.05%, his alleged 0.232% reading was almost five times higher than allowed.
He collided with the police car at a city intersection , allegedly disobeying a red light at a pedestrian crossing. No one was injured but both vehicles sustained a small amount of damage. He was charged with one count of drink driving.
