Ex-husband Lives Up To Bumper Sticker On Wife’s Car

An Australian man and his wife were each asked to pay $500 in court costs after trying and failing to get a Family Court order to force his wife to remove a bumper sticker that he considered offensive.

The sticker read: “Men are idiots. I divorced their king!”

The judge, Judicial Registrar Ian Loughnan, sympathized with Mr. Pope’s dilemma and understood that the sticker amounted to a “billboard” that described him as an idiot to his 13-year-old daughter everyday.

News.com.au reported that he added:

However, for all I know this may be the way the parents have always talked to each other. Their daughter might say that her parents are idiots.

After describing the situation as an “improper use of court time”, Loughlin ordered the bickering ex-couple to share court costs of $1000
