In what was a somewhat clever plan to take a Kansas gun store clerk by surprise, two men pretended to be purchasing ammunition but fell just ten dollars short. When told this, one of the men pulled a gun.
The 65-year-old store clerk, who was wearing a holstered gun ironically intended to intimidate would-be robbers, immediately realized that the vandal’s gun wasn’t loaded and pulled his own. The two men fled unharmed, but left their forty dollars behind.
The police confiscated the bills as evidence, though the clerk thinks he deserves them. Still, it’s rare that a robbery heist should go so wrong that the robbers leave with less money than they came in with. [Source; Image]
