To quote somebody without a good answer, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.”  Now a Virginia family believes they have been given a sign – in the shape of tree rings.

The Norton family had branches trimmed from a tree; a few weeks later, the rings in one of the branch stumps darkened, revealing the splitting image of late comedian Mitch Hedberg.  But since this is Virginia we’re talking about, what the Norton family saw was Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, within a couple of years the stump will darken completely and eventually be covered with bark.  In the meantime, there’s a coffee stain on my desk which bears a striking resemblance to Mother Mary/Jim Morrison. [Source]
