Hypocrisy fail: US Air allows drag queen to fly days after grounding student with baggy pants

OH GOD MY EYES

With no apparent commitment to a concrete dress code, US Air drew stiff criticism for booting a University of New Mexico football player from a flight in San Francisco for refusing to hike up his baggy pants.  Just days later, passengers on another US Air flight were stunned to see an elderly man in tight-fitting knee-high socks, stilettos and garments barely appropriate as underwear (much less overwear) allowed to fly without question.

Though I admit there’s more security risks associated with baggy clothing than hardly any clothing at all, airport security is thorough enough that a potential security risk can be eliminated long before making it to the departure gate.  So clearly, these two disparate incidents were not motivated by consideration for the other passengers (seriously, though; I never asked to see a Clint Eastwood stunt double in drag, and now you know why).
