Back in the day, kids would save their money for months, or even years, to buy a new piece of technology.  These days, it’s as easy as losing a spare kidney.

Little Zheng, a 17-year-old Chinese boy, managed to trade one of his kidneys for an iPad 2 and a laptop computer.  Things only got weird when his mother didn’t realize what had happened – that is, until she saw his new toys and his new abdominal scar.

Human organ sales have been illegal in China since 2007, yet Zheng’s kidney was sold through via the Internet for nearly $3400.  And while I’ve heard that Apple products can cost an arm and a leg… well, I’ll let you finish that pun.  [Source; Image]
