On one hand, Nathan Johnson could be called an animal lover. Police prefer to call it animal cruelty. Either way, Johnson is a multiple offender.
The 28-year-old was arrested on July 18th after being reported for having ‘improper relations’ with a horse in Paducah, Kentucky. But this isn’t the first time he’s been caught re-enacting Equus – in fact, Johnson was also caught and charged with the same crime in 2002.
Police have noticed a disturbing trend with such animal abusers, in that they tend to be multiple (if not frequent) offenders. In March, Rodell Vereen plead guilty twice to having sex with the same horse. And last week in Michigan, John Robert Mester was caught on camera with his favorite equine a decade after he’d been arrested on the very same charge. I suppose it’s rather hard to find a willing girlfriend when a quick Google search brings up mugshots for bestiality. Unless, you know, she’s into that. [Source]
