In St. Petersburg, Florida, a wheelchair-bound man sleeping outside a Hooters restaurant awoke to a wannabe vampire who attempted to do that thing vampires want to do at night.
Though Josephine Smith, 22, claims she remembers nothing of the attack, Milton Ellis, 69, had taken refuge on the Hooters porch for the night and had earlier suggested that Smith, also without shelter, could share the porch with him. As he slept, Smith climbed atop Ellis, proclaimed her status as a vampire, and started viciously biting his face, lips, and neck. Ellis managed to reach his motorized wheelchair and escaped to a nearby gas station, where he called police.
Smith was then arrested and charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person. [Source]
