For everyone who believes it’s only a matter of time before the zombie virus infests humans scientists in the USA are adding fuel to the fire.

A lethal fly parasite has been found in honeybees by researchers at San Francisco State University. It lays eggs in the abdomen of the bee which leaves the honey makers in a dazed and confused state that has been compared to a zombie.

After being infected, the bees wander in circles and are attracted to bright lights until they finally die. Then the pupae come out of their heads. Just the kind of image you want to picture… lovely.

According to one researcher, Andrew Core, “They kept stretching them out and then falling over… It really painted a picture of something like a zombie.” Source.
