Force not so strong in hit and running Obiwan Kenobi [Allegedly]

Thirty-seven-year-old Obiwan Kenobi (real name) was arrested over the weekend on the suspicion that he was responsible for a hit and run crash that caused a four-car pileup in mid-March.

Roseville (California) police Sergeant Jason Bosworth told News 10 the police version of events:

The crash happened on March 19 on Fairway Drive, near Rosehall Drive, around 4 p.m. Three cars were stopped in the straight-ahead lane on westbound Fairway Drive, while a fourth car was waiting in the left-turn lane.

According to Bosworth, Kenobi pulled into the left-turn lane, tried to merge into the straight-ahead lane between two cars waiting in the lane, hit the cars he was trying to merge between and then fled the scene.

The hit and run then caused a chain-reaction that caused the other two waiting cars to be hit also.

According to Bosworth, two people were treated for minor injuries after the accident. Obiwan Kenobi was arrested and charged with hit-and-run causing injury – and was later released on bail. There is, as of yet, no word on whether or not Jedi mind tricks helped to secure his release but I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the Force was not especially strong in this one… or he would have talked his way out of trouble at the scene of the alleged hit-and-run.
