Final Destination in real life: Toronto Eaton Center shooting survivor shot dead at the Denver Batman shooting

Jessica Ghawi, who survived the Eaton Center massacre in Toronto last month, is among the victims of the Denver Batman shooting. In a strange coincidence, Ghawi, a sports reporter was present last June 5th when another crazy gunman had started shooting at random passerbys in a crowded food court at the Toronto Eaton Center.

She had tweeted throughout the ordeal and had even gained a certain online popularity thanks to the event.

Sadly though, in a bizarre twist of fate, she is among the victims of last night’s shooting at the Batman opening in Denver. Obviously our thoughts are with the families of all the victims.
