Who said that robots need to absolutely look human? Check this one out. Not only does it have the best use ever for a robot, but it looks nothing like a human being, in fact it doesn’t even resemble a humanoid. However, it will get you drunk.
The Inebriator, is a robot designed to deliver drinks automatically, the customer simply picks his favorite drink from a display panel and watches the machine dispatch the beverage. Powered by Arduino, it also happens to be open source so you could program your own drinks in it.
Although there are no current plans to mass manufacture the device, it appears to be a relatively easy do it yourself project.
