A giant fish sized eye was found last week by a strolling man in Pompano Beach near Fort Lauderdale Florida. The man immediately reported it to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Officials initially attributed the giant eye to a deep sea giant squid but later, after noticing the presence of some bone and other distinctive characteristics such as color, size and structure concluded it was from a swordfish.
The eye had come clear cuts around it and according to the officials it looks as though it was part of a fish caught by some fisherman, who removed the eye and simply discarded it in the ocean.
It’s a good thing it wasn’t found by some adventurer, and by adventurer what I really mean is people who play RPG games like Diablo and Torchlight because they’d have either tried to embed it in a socketable item, simply tried to sell it to the town’s blacksmith or worse, fed it to their dog.
