Man Arrested With 200 Diamonds In His Stomach

People will do anything to get themselves out of poverty. Even if it includes swallowing 220 diamonds and attempting to smuggle them out of the country… at least this is my educated guess as to why a 25-year old South African man swallowed 220 polished diamonds and tried to fly out of the country with them.

The unnamed man was caught by police trying to board a plane out of Johannasburg, at the O.R. Tambo International Airport, after security x-rays spotted the jewels worth $2.3 million dollars. He was trying to fly to Dubai.

All the jewels have been recovered and the man arrested, probably recovering from an incredibly tender stomach lining. Perhaps you could say the man had a taste for diamonds. [ Source ]  [ Picture]
