For the majority of you out there who don’t know, the longest word in the English language is 189,819 letters long and is the full chemical name for titin, a protein found in the human body. The word itself is disputed whether it’s actually a word or not—at least according to Wikipedia—but for those of us who believe, it’s full pronunciation has finally been recorded for posterity’s sake.
So if you’re dying to hear how Methionylalanylthreonylserylarginylglycylalanylserylarginylcyst…etc., etc., etc. is pronounced, better clear up your schedule, because you’re going to need a good three hours to listen to it in its entirety. Plus it’s just a video of some guy reading a ridiculously long sciency-type word, and apart from the plant dying and his beard growing, the clip itself is a monumental bore.
