As if being a furry wasn’t expensive enough already – costumes, makeup, tail plugs, indecent exposure violation tickets, et cetera – the new black for the “animal cosplay enthusiast” community has just hit the shelves.

Called “necomimi” the ears are controlled by different brain activity.  Supposedly, concentrating (on your neighbor’s cat) causes the ears to perk up, while relaxing (in your horse costume) makes them drop back down.  They’re rather bulky for an item which normally costs about $8 and fits in a coat pocket (or marsupial pouch, if that’s what you’re into), but the technology is bound to get cheaper and more compact over the next few years.  [Source]
