The Sleep-Testosterone Paradox

A new study from the University of Chicago found that men who get the recommended sleeping time every night have more testosterone than their sleep-deprived counterparts – ten to fifteen percent more, in fact – and thus, more energy and desire for sex.

But the study inadvertently reveals a double-edged sword, because testosterone is hardly God’s gift to men: While responsible for sex drive and overall energy, it also encourages aggression, mood swings and violent behavior.  So having testosterone is great for sex, but only if you’re having sex; otherwise, one is bound to become something between a Jersey Shore cast member and Skeletor.

No definitive conclusions were reached on men sleep-deprived due to sex except that they were too happy to care. [Source; Image]
