Donald Leet was feeling a little tipsy in Brandon, Florida, so he enlisted the help of a designated driver. Under ideal circumstances, this driver would’ve been anybody other than his 11-year-old relative (the exact relation could not be released, as she is a minor and can’t be identified).
This ended up being a grave mistake, as the girl plowed Leet’s SUV into a fenced-in water pipe, resulting in a 50-foot geyser and knocking out water to the First Baptist Church of Brandon. Damages are estimated at over $10,000; in addition, Leet, his young accomplice and a third girl in the back seat, age 7, suffered minor injuries. Leet has been charged with two counts of child neglect, though on the bright side, not DUI. [Source]
