And to think, this woman could've had, like, millions of dollars.

In one of the more frivolous lawsuits I’ve heard about today, a woman from Edmonton claims that a stick of Stride chewing gum broke apart in her mouth and stuck to her dentures, resulting in depression during the process of pulling bits of gum out of said dentures.  Based on her ten-minute ordeal, she is suing Kraft Canada for $100,000.

Though widely advertised as ‘ridiculously long lasting’ plaintiff Elsie Pawlow claims this amounted to five minutes of chewing and ten minutes of pulling ‘disgusting’ gum from her dentures.  The suit cost $200 to file and also seeks legal costs and interest on top of the $10,000-per-minute standard rate for depression.
