Addicted to FarmVille? Well, don’t worry friend. Soon you’ll be playing for a good cause.

Pizza Hut is teaming up with Zynga, the company behind FarmVille, CityVille, Empires & Allies and The Pioneer Trail, in a bid to fight world hunger.

Players can purchase exclusive in-game items for $5 and all proceeds go to the World Food Program.

It’s the first time Zynga has done something like this and it could be a game changer if it works.

Pizza Hut has dedicated an entire website to the 2011 World Hunger Relief cause called Share a Slice of Hope.
