Bordering on the insane, eBay user lowgonjay has put up for sale some bottled water, claimed to be from a pool in which “the” Tom Cruise, along with his current wife Katie Holmes (I preferred Nicole Kidman), and daughter Suri allegedly would have bathed on July 16th 2011. Not only is this incredibly weird in itself, but brace yourselves there’s more: The current bid is 130$ for a 4oz bottle. Considerably more than the 4$/gallon that gasoline costs.
I could kick myself: Last fall I had to remove my own backyard pool as Cookie has decided she’d had enough of seeing me trying to keep a 21 year old pool in working order and ordered a new one installed next spring. To think I could’ve bottled that water and sold it on eBay, I mean a quasi celebrity such as myself could have easily netted 25¢ per bottle, even 30¢ if one of my many fans got wind of the news that Eau de Luca would be available. What a shame!
