Man balances 23 benches on his teeth, breaks world record

It’s a very unique talent to be able to balance objects on your teeth, and it’s one that gets 30-year old Hongxiao Li into the Guinness Book of World Records by balancing 23 benches on his teeth.

Twenty-three benches that are one meter (roughly 3 feet) long, weighing three kilograms (6.6 pounds) each means Li balanced 69kg (159lbs) on his teeth. That’s only 7lbs more than he weighs.

Living in Chongqing, China, Li has been working for 12 years to break the previous record of balancing benches on your teeth which was 14 benches.

The path to world record fame has been wrought with pain, though. When Li tried 12 benches he ended up with 18 stitches in his lip.

This all still leaves the burning question in everyone’s mind… who ever came up with the idea of balancing benches on your teeth in the first place?
