New green method of burial developed

An alternative method of burial is being offered to Australians – aquamation.

The process puts the body into a stainless steel tank, then submerges it in a special liquid that aids in decomposition.

The body is reduced to a slurry which can then be released into rivers or oceans, or even used as a fertilizer.

Aquamation purportedly is more eco-friendly than traditional burial; which releases harmful toxins from the body, and cremation; which produces a great deal of smoke and ash.

The method costs about $1000.
