Thirty-five years after birth, an Indian man only known as Ryalu checked into a hospital with stomach pains. Although it was suspected the man had a hernia, exploratory surgery found something a bit off – namely, a uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and some vaginal tissue.
Ryalu is very much a man externally, having fathered two children, but was evidently born with an embryological accident that went unnoticed for nearly four decades. Obviously, Ryalu was shocked; however, one in one hundred births differ from a standard male or female, and for many, these differences are not even identified until much later in life, though rarely for as long as Ryalu’s case.
