In South Wales, 23-year-old Leah Gibbs drove to the home of Adam Minton, 21, thinking the two would watch a DVD and ‘cuddle’ whatever that means. Instead, both spent the night in jail.
Minton asked for a ride to a nearby shopping center, which Gibbs gladly gave (supposedly to visit a friend and pick up ‘cuddle supplies’); however, when Minton returned to the car, Gibbs soon found out he’d just robbed a store for £250 while brandishing a large kitchen knife. The two were apprehended based on Gibbs’ license plate and vehicle description, and it took a day before Gibbs’ story was accepted by police.
Minton is now spending four and a half years in prison. [Source]
