Frosty the Snowman arrested at Maryland X-mas parade for fighting with cops

Well, you can kiss another wonder Christmas memory from your childhood goodbye, now that word has come out that none other than that lovable, magical snowman Frosty has been arrested for allegedly scuffling with cops and attempting to kick a police dog while attending a parade in Maryland.

Pretty gutsy considering Frosty is nothing more than 6-feet of frozen water, a button nose, two eyes made out of coal, and one magical top hat.  Don’t remember the song mentioning anything about balls of steel.

Alright, so it isn’t the actual Frosty we’re talking about here, just some guy in a Frosty costume at the annual Christmas parade in Chestertown, Maryland.  Kevin Michael Walsh was the man behind inside the costume who tangled with cops, becoming agitated after a dog-handling officer tried separating Walsh from the rest of the crowd.  The 52-year-old begs to differ, claiming innocence in the sordid affair.

From the AP

Walsh told The Associated Press that he has dressed as Frosty in the parade for at least 10 years. He says he was wrongfully arrested. He says an officer hassled him after he remarked about the police dog’s presence. He says he became agitated only after getting arrested.

Walsh was released on his own recognizance.

What’s next, Rudolph getting busted for DUI?  The Grinch arrested for armed robbery and assault with a weapon?  I don’t think my childhood can take any more hits like this.
