Five Police Officers Beat Unconscious Suspect

anthony_warren-300x376Five police officers in Birmingham, Alabama beat a suspect who was lying on the ground unconscious after his vehicle crashed while evading police. The victim, Anthony Warren had no memory of the beating.

Outcome: It is alleged that police initially tried to cover up the evidence of Anthony Warren’s beating and provided a tape to the Court that did not include the assault as he lay helpless upon the ground. When the original tape was found, the five officers involved in the incident were dismissed. Warren is currently serving 20 years for assault.
