Human namesake displeased with Chuck Norris brand marijuana

Word on the street: a type of marijuana being sold in LA has been dubbed “Chuck Norris Black”. Some would argue that it is not much of a stretch of one’s imagination to name a kick-ass strain of weed after one of the world’s biggest (and best preserved) ass kickers. Personally, I think it was a somewhat clever way to cash in on a tired old meme.

A representative for Norris explained that Mr. Norris did not approve:

This is definitely not an authorized use of his name.

Thus far there has been no mention of lawsuits – so we are hoping that Chuck plans to settle things mano y mano. It would be infinitely cooler to see the morally-flexible entrepreneur in question get pounded into dust by a 70-year-old than seeing the matter settled in court. [LA Weekly via Digg]
