Homeless Man Reunites with Daughter Thanks to Twitter

Twitter’s logo might soon be “micro-blog your way to finding your long lost family” after a homeless man in New York City did just that.

Daniel Morales, 58, was given a pre-paid cell phone to set up a Twitter account as part of the Unheard in New York project, designed to help the plight of the homeless. Three weeks into it, Morales decided to look for his daughter whom he hadn’t seen in 11 years.

According to the New York Times he posted pictures of her at 16 along with his cell phone. Thanks to Twitter-verse it took less than 24-hours for his missing daughter to get the message and phone him.

The two have been reconnected and Twitter might consider giving him a job as a spokesperson tweeting the benefits of micro-blogging.
