Not your grandma’s Tesla gun

A budding young mad scientist who goes by the name of Rob built himself this handsome Tesla rifle. Rob turned a spark gap Tesla coil powered by an 18V drill battery into a scary-looking, gun-shaped lightning generator.

Rob spared no expense, he cast a Nerf gun in aluminum and spent a couple of days milling it on a Fadal 3-axis mill. He also built his own switch housing out of porcelain using a 3D powder printer. The end result is something that looks like it should get you arrested.

Needless to say, this is not the sort of thing you should try at home – not unless you know a lot about electricity.
