Man Orders Construction of $230,000 Golden Shirt to Attract Women

Datta Phuge took a novel approach to the whole, if you’ve got it, flaunt it school of thinking when he ordered himself a 22-karat gold shirt. Now, all he needs is Mohawk and a bad attitude.

In doing this, the 32-year-old money lender from Pimpri-Chinchwad hoped that he would have better luck with the ladies*

I know I am not the best looking man in the world but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt?

He went on to add that he hoped that the shirt would also serve as an “an embellishment to my reputation as the ‘Gold man of Pimpri'”

The construction of the shirt took a team of 15 goldsmiths two weeks to make, over which time they worked for 16 hours a day. In addition to the seven pounds of gold, he also got himself six Swarovski crystal studded buttons and a solid gold belt – and the goldsmiths were kind enough to provide him with a pair of matching cuffs and a set of rings, which they built out of the left over gold.

As of yet, there is no word on whether or not the extravagant purchase has aided in the Gold Man of Pimpri’s quest for a woman – if it isn’t working, I would put it down to his lack of a pair of matching golden pants.
